I found my big girls like this last night. There's something so satisfyingly sweet about hearing the eldest read (Unprompted! And accurately!) to her little sisters.
Among many things, it does emphasize the trickle-down effect of parenting multiple children. We may not have as much time one on one with the third, but thankfully we had enough time with the first so that she can help teach her younger siblings our family's ways.
Granted, that may include sledding down our hill on a folding table just as much as it includes a high regard for literature...
Eh, we'll take it. ;)
